At Home Magazine Feature

Today I decided to go to my Mom's house for the day, just to have an extra set of hands to help hold my babies.  When I came, I noticed this magazine on her coffee table, and I began to flip through it.  Before long, I stumbled upon a feature done on the store, "Pure".  I supply a lot of furniture to them.  And would you know, one of my hutches made it into the magazine!  I am so totally honored to be a part of this feature.

This is the page showcasing my piece.  Lori, the store owner, is a very friendly and gracious person.  She has three fabulous kids, who've I met from time to time when I've done deliveries to her store.  Lori's vibrant, personable and warm personality is reflected throughout her store.  She has the most gorgeous, chemical and pesticide-free flowers, lovely quilts, fabulous home decor items, and of course show-stopping furniture pieces.  I encourage all to take a trip to her store, located just off Lakeshore on John Street in Burlington (near Brant).  Step into her store and experience a wonderful calming essence of fantastic home decor and sheer organic beauty!

  2. This is so amazing. I have this exact page ripped out and in my "inspiration" folder on my dining room table, AKA sewing table, AKA painting table, AKA perogy making table...and the list goes on and on.

I would have done my china cabinet the same blue, but I decided on a different colour, so I did it Miss Mustard Seed's "Mustard Seed"... which I kinda made from Homestead's Garden Seed with some Buttermilk added to it. It's not Milk Paint, but it's really nice, none-the-less. I started using their Milk Paint way back when... probably around 1996, when we bought our century home on Burlington Avenue in Burlington. That was then and this is now... we live in a 1950's one bedroom bungalow in Aldershot (all the kids are gone, but not forgotten). But I still have lots of their "other" paint I've collected over the years. And, surprisingly, they are all still "good". If I could, I would love to send you a picture when I'm finished with it. It still needs to be antiqued and waxed. I too love MMS and her blogs. I just wanted to say... she doesn't OWN the store, she just has a spot there.
Keep up the good work. I'm gonna be watching you.
